Between the 3 of us, we have the combined experience of over 25 years in marketing and communication solutions, in 20 countries, amongst 15 industries.

Ivan Moroke
Ivan Moroke Business Collaborator
Ivan started his formal career in marketing at the coal face of the discipline: direct selling. In his case, selling cigarettes for British American Tabacco in the rural areas of the North West Province. He proceeded to hold various leadership roles across the entire marketing value chain at the company. He then joined Added Value SA, a global insight and brand consultancy, as a Project Director and then moved to Lowe Bull, the creative advertising agency as a Strategy Director. He later left the agency as a Managing Director to head up Yellowwood brand consultancy whereafter he moved back into the advertising space as group Managing Director of TBWA Hunt Lascaris. He recently left the agency as CEO to start up Co-Currency, a marketing insight and strategy consultancy. Ivan is the ex Chairperson of Brand Council South Africa (BCSA) and ex Vice-Chairperson of Association for Communication and Advertising (ACA). He is the current a Director Chairperson of the Jury for APEX Effective Advertising Awards and regularly serves on the judging panels of various industry awards like Loeries and Bookmarks Awards

Co-Currency has joined forces with Ignite Research as their key Insights Associate Insight. Ignite Research was founded in 2011 as an exciting expedition undertaken by two like-minded researchers who had a shared passion for ‘best practice’ research and a desire to get back to basics, be hands on and re-ignite their industry passions. It has evolved over time from a consultancy,and a qualitative research consultancy to a full service research agency and very proudly, an industry trainer (upskilling clients and suppliers alike). Co-Currency aligns with what Ignite Research is passionate about i.e. “hands on: every project is owner managed , ultimately accountable for every piece of research initiative: …every job is embraced with accountability and integrity (if we cant do it we will say no)…, …we’re not interested in chasing volumes but rather value (greater work satisfaction for us and real value to you the client)……we are as invested in the outcomes of a project as you are ( our reputation depends on it!)

The integrated core team owns and is fully responsible and accountable for all client projects with Co-Currency.

    • In 2010 she co-founded Ignite Research→ an insight and strategy driven Qualitative consultancy in order to reclaim her love of ‘hands on’ research and deliver results that can be actioned. Based on Clients’ needs, the agency has grown to be a full service agency with National and Sub-Saharan reach

    • Past experience: KLA and GFK
    • In 2013, Lihle embarked on a freelance career, her integrity and passion for Qualitative research quickly made her a valued addition to the Ignite Team where she has continued to contribute as a valued team member
    • Developed the Lekhotla methdology which has contributed to many successful initiatives and keeps Clients coming back!
    • With a past in journalism, Lihle has a keen ability to get to the heart of a matter
    • She adds value to the team by way of her ability to bring to light and interpret black market insights and dynamics→ consumer champion!
    • Her passion is youth market insights and she has a keen interest in keeping abreast with grassroots & global trends and how these can add value to brands and marketers
